Negroni Month, Brisbane 2026

Overview

Negroni Month is bringing Brisbane bars and restaurants together throughout September to celebrate one of the world's most recognisable cocktails. The celebrations will stretch from Brisbane CBD to James Street and South Brisbane, with bespoke sips, dining experiences and live events all in the lineup. Among the highlights are a three-Negroni Trail at Vixen Room, a degustation at Cru Bar and a disco and DJ set with sax at Doughcraft.

A classic negroni is made with equal parts Campari, gin and sweet vermouth. This September, that familiar combination will be interpreted in different ways, with each venue bringing its own take on the original.

Brisbane CBD

The Brisbane CBD lineup brings together cocktail bars, restaurants and live events, with Naldham House, Doo-Bop, Dr Gimlette, Doughcraft and Le Royale all taking part. There's plenty of room for a long aperitivo-style afternoon or evening here, with Doughcraft bringing a little extra energy to the celebrations with a disco and DJ set featuring sax. The other CBD venues will be taking part with their own menus and negroni serves.

James Street

James Street is home to a mix of bars, restaurants and cocktail spots, making it a natural stop for Negroni Month. Cru Bar will host a negroni degustation with a DJ, led by a Campari Academy Ambassador, while Never Enough brings a food-forward restaurant and relaxed bar setting to the mix, and The Alligator Club adds New Orleans–inspired cocktails and live music from its underground bar.

South Brisbane

South Brisbane has two venues participating, including Vixen Room at Hotel Terminus, where the negroni gets a different treatment in each space. Its Negroni Trail features three distinct negronis, with each one designed to match the space it's served in. Bar Brutus will also be joining the celebrations, bringing its Italian aperitivo sensibility to the South Brisbane lineup.
