Overview

Day in, day out, Pig 'N' Whistle Riverside serves up beer. Every day of the week until at least 2am, in fact. But only Saturday, June 1 will see the long-standing Eagle Street venue turn its love of yeasty, hoppy beverages into a day-long beer festival.

Always fond of a good pun, the bar has dubbed this shindig the Pig Day Out Beer Festival. Prepare to take a few cues from that title and fill your stomach with plenty of brews, obviously. While the full beer lineup is being revealed gradually, you can start looking forward to tipples from Balter, Little Creatures, Young Henrys and Coopers, as well as a selection of cider.

It all kicks off at 11am, with live music from midday — because what's a festival without a soundtrack? Entry is free, although you'll need your wallet to buy more than a few drinks. And as always, the Pig 'N' Whistle's kitchen will be pumping out English-style pub meals.
