Overview

Any animated film buff should know about Hayao Miyazaki. As one of Japan’s greatest animators and story tellers, Miyazaki has created some iconic pieces of Japanese cinema.

Movies such as Spirited Away, Laputa: Castle In The Sky and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind have become much loved in Japan and internationally. If you are yet to see any of these movies but really, really want to, you’re in luck. Palace Centro Cinemas are playing select Japanese anime in their Pop-Up Manga Film Festival.

Miyazaki favourites and other cherished titles will be screened throughout July; a different movie will be played each Friday night and Saturday day. These movies rival Disney classics in scope, style and imagination.
