Overview

Portside is no stranger to hosting markets, but its latest excuse to browse and buy will be positively blooming. It's the right time of year to celebrate plants and flowers, so the Hamilton spot will be blossoming on Saturday, September 9 with help from The Market Folk.

Head along from 10am–2pm to find all things floral taking over the riverside precinct, including stalls to shop, of course. 2023's Portside Wharf Plant and Spring Market is also handing out freebies, too — with 200 free succulents and 100 free scoops from Rosé Gelateria up for grabs for folks who get there early.

As well as plants and flowers, stallholders will also be slinging art, ceramics, handmade jewellery, pet accessories and clothes. To give your shopping a soundtrack, live tunes will echo through the precinct.

And, if those hunger pangs strike — or you're just keen on having a drink — this is a mighty fine excuse to hit up Portside newcomers such as the aforementioned Rosé Gelateria, seafood restaurant and bar Fosh, and pastry haven Rise Bakery.
