Like a distant aunt of an overzealous neighbour, the fine folks of The Good Ship are welcoming you into their evening of Christmas celebrations with open arms. They’ve come off the back of a big year, with a mass of shows and new tracks, and they are currently in recording mode, which is the craziest time to catch up with a band on account of intense bouts of cabin fever and a diet of snack food, so you know you’re in for some fun.
Like any gracious hosts, they are providing some killer entertainment with stellar company — Suicide Swans, Sports Fan and Folklore are in support. There will be no idle swaying near the punchbowl for you, awkward gathering-goer. You will be in the thick of it as the excitement swells, the friends are near, and 2014 goes inching around the corner.
