The Australian-born Greek restaurant is celebrating the opening of its 50th restaurant by shining a spotlight on the communities that have supported the brand over the years. Rather than marking the milestone with a typical giveaway, Zeus Street Greek is inviting customers to nominate local heroes who embody the Greek value of philotimo, a spirit of generosity, kindness and treating others like family.
Running until Friday, July 31, the initiative lets customers submit a nomination in-store with any purchase. Every Zeus Street Greek restaurant across Australia will choose one local hero, with each winner receiving a Greek feast to enjoy with their family, friends and the person who nominated them, of course.
"Over the past 12 years we have not only opened 50 restaurants, but we have been welcomed into 50 communities," said Zeus Street Greek Co-Founder Costa Anastasiadis. "It's only right that we make these communities the centrepiece of the festivities, highlighting people who live the philotimo way. The belief in generosity, community and welcoming people as family."
As well as celebrating the people who make a positive difference to the communities we call home, Zeus Street Greek has also teamed up with DoorDash to launch an exclusive Family Greek Feast, available only through the delivery platform for a limited time. Designed with winter nights and group dinners in mind, the bundle brings together a selection of the restaurant's crowd favourites. Expect two full-sized chicken pitas, two Mini Tzimmy Chicken Pitas, a Greek salad, a large serve of Yia Yia's chips and a dozen traditional loukoumades to finish.
