Brisbane CBD nine-to-fivers: your grim desk salad just got a wholesome upgrade. Located in the foyer of One Eagle (the building formerly known as Waterfront Place, for those with longer memories), FORM is on a mission to change the way city workers eat between meetings with clean, unprocessed meals designed to nourish the body and sharpen the mind, all without compromising on flavour or convenience. Global hospo veteran Jared Lawler dreamed up the concept after a life-altering health scare, and he's enlisted a head chef who's also a qualified nutritionist to create a menu free of refined sugar, seed oils and ultra-processed ingredients. Instead, you'll find the likes of house-made chia pudding with seasonal fruit, fermented yoghurt with maple macadamia granola, and a chilli jam-spiked bacon and egg roll on an organic olive oil bun for breakfast. Lunch is a choose-your-own-adventure of protein and plant-packed bowls, where you can mix and match elements like miso-roasted cabbage, 18-hour lamb shoulder, and a beetroot and lentil salad flecked with orange, feta and dates. These hearty bowls are good for the gut and for the wallet — prices start at $12.50. The drinks offer is just as considered. You can spike your Cavalier coffee with a range of alternative milks, pouring cream or house-made flavoured sweeteners, while the herbal tea menu includes an impressive selection of caffeine-free options. The drinks menu is rounded out with nutrient-rich smoothies, which can be elevated with optional enhancers like L-theanine, creatine and lion's mane. FORM also offers office catering for larger groups and the option to order via its dedicated app — so even if you don't have time for a full lunch break, you can still enjoy a wholesome, satisfying meal to fuel your afternoon.
