Overview

You don't need to tell Corinne and Brett Chilcott that good things come in small packages; based on their new hole-in-the-wall cafe in Woolloongabba, that's something the duo already knows. Indeed, any size-related adage you can think of proves relevant when it comes to Lola Coffee. Nestled into the new Trafalgar Lane complex, this Italian-style espresso bar is the very definition of compact and cosy.

Walls adorned with Frank and Mimi large-scale artwork help ensure Lola always feels warm and welcoming, of course — and that's before customers even take a sip of the cafe's titular brews. Combine Corinne's previous experience as an Australian champion and world finalist barista with the store's fondness for Coffee Alchemy beans, and you'll be in caffeinated beverage heaven.

Those after a snack will soon find Corinne's homemade baked treats on the menu, which is good news for the rare few among us that aren't coffee fiends. On that note, so is Lola's use of Zokoko chocolate — both in their sweet edible morsels, and in hot, liquid form.
