Overview

When you hear the name of Brisbane CBD's new steamed bun place, you can be forgiven for singing "Mr Bunz, that's my name — that name again is Mr Bunz" in your head. We're not the only ones jumping straight to The Simpsons' quotes, after all; ay caramba is Mr Bunz's official catchphrase.

There's a good reason for that, as you'll understand once you try their freshly made fare. Exclaiming your satisfaction as you bite into a pork or duck bun with hoisin, cucumber and spring onion, or a chicken bun with spicy mayonnaise, pickled jalapeños and cucumber, is to be expected. As is oh-so-crispy and crunchy meat, plus oh-so-fluffy bao.

That's all there is to Mr Bunz, really, although the menu will change every few months. Quick, tasty food ready to eat five days a week in the heart of the city — and that'll make you think of The Simpsons: who needs more than that?
