Overview

Pablo is easy to miss. At a glance it looks more like a hole in the wall than a real cafe. Don't be fooled, though, inside is a fully functioning breakfast and lunch hotspot.

Located across the road from Coles at the New Farm Park end of Brunswick Street, Pablo is definitely one of the cosiest breakfast venues in Brisbane. The tables out the front are best for small groups, and there is also a small indoor dining area as well as the cutest of balconies. The interior has also recently undergone a makeover and a very snazzy paint job.

The menu features a range of rustic dishes and changes with the seasons and produce availability. In the cooler weather you can expect to find classic tummy-warmers like savoury mince or bubble and squeak on the menu, while in summer a refreshing plate of smashed peas and mint on toast is a light start to the day. The quality is consistently excellent, regular specials will keep you on your toes, and the Genovese coffee is always a winner.

While Pablo doesn't take bookings on weekends, you generally won't have a long wait for a table. The staff members are friendly and quick on their feet, and are happy to accomodate wherever they can. When breakfast or lunch is over, a great range of sweet nibblies is available in the cabinet at the front counter.
