Garlic Bread for Breakfast at Gauge
This sweet-savoury dish is a Brisbane must-eat.
Overview
Although universally acknowledged that pancakes are acceptable to eat at any time of day, you'd be hard pressed to find an upmarket eatery offering one of its signature dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gauge is the exception. Head to this South Brisbane café — run by Jerome Batten, the mastermind behind Teneriffe institution Sourced Grocer — at any time of day to indulge in their black garlic bread with brown butter and burnt vanilla. It's equal parts sweet, savoury and delicious.
