Overview

One of the hardest bits about heading for a weekend away is not being able to fit in a visit to every winery, right? Well, in Canberra, the winemakers bring the cellar door to you. NewActon has a beaut little setup called Cellar Door, where various winemakers from all over the state come together to showcase their vino in a relaxing market environment.

Every Saturday afternoon in the Nishi Building's Grand Stair, a rotating mixture of established and up-and-coming Canberran winemakers offer tastings of their delicious plonk. There are also stalls filled with fresh fruit and veg, flowers, cheese, chocolate and books for you to peruse. So, if you don't have the time to hit all the wineries and wine bars in just a single weekend, Cellar Door is the perfect way to experience it all.
