Nine Melbourne Bars Now Delivering Cocktails and Wine Straight to Your Doorstep
Order quarantinis to make lockdown a little more bearable.
Melbourne is in the midst of another extended snap lockdown, and frankly, it sucks. We know that cocktails and wine don't hold all the answers, but they can make that time spent stuck at home a little more bearable, at least.
Whether you're after bottles of vino, tinnies or freshly shaken cocktails, a number of Melbourne bars are ensuring you don't go thirsty while holed up in your house. Plus, by ordering from these guys, you'll be supporting small, local businesses and giving something back to the city's recovering hospitality scene.
So, here are nine of the best boozy delivery deals around town to hit up instead of simply restocking your liquor cabinet.

This CBD cocktail haven is now bringing wattleseed negronis and fennel pollen sazeracs to your door, with 100-millilitre serves available for $20 and half-litres for $85. All of its bottled cocktails are inspired by native and seasonal ingredients. Other options include a bee pollen old fashioned, a lamington creation made with cocoa butter, and a paperbark martini with passionfruit vinegar and smoked Mount Zero olive oil. You can even nab one of everything with the Byrds of a Feather party pack.

A mainstay in Melbourne’s small bar scene, Bar Americano knows how to shake up a mean drink. Usually, you’d nab a spot at the ten-seat bar, but these are not usual times. Instead, while its doors are shut, Bar Americano is offering daily delivery on a range of its bottled cocktails. On the menu you’ll find an americano (of course), a manhattan-inspired concoction, the bar’s house amaro, an old fashioned and a negroni — a go-to in these times. Both 200 and 500-millilitre serves are available for most. You can check out the full Hometender menu here.

As always, The Everleigh is delivering freshly shaken and batched cocktails to your door. The usual gang is all here — a negroni, a manhattan, an old fashioned and a martini — as well as a caffeinated concoction called the Coffee House. Try a bunch at once, with the Famous Four Set ($69), stocked with one of each of the headliners, or your own mix-and-match preference. A range of newer spritzed cocktails is also on offer, featuring the likes of a French 75, the tequila-infused Palomita and a fizzy americano number. Order a single-serve bottle ($13), or nab yourself a four-pack ($44). Shipping is available to most locations across Australia and, as a special lockdown treat, there’s currently 20 percent off storewide.

This Port Melbourne distillery has released a new line of dapper, bottled whisky cocktails, putting a local spin on three classic sips. Choose from the coffee old fashioned crafted on Mr Black and house-made orange bitters, or a big, bold whisky-infused negroni. Or perhaps the award-winning new-world twist on the traditional old fashioned cocktail, starring single-malt whisky that’s been aged in red wine barrels. Each drink comes by the half-litre bottle ($49), which pours out about 10 serves. Best of all, these beauties are shipping Australia-wide.
