Red Frog Speakeasy

Overview

Red Frog's entryway is marked with a red frog sculpture with a discreet doorbell. Inside, you'll find one of the 2022 World's 50 Best Bars – and the first Portuguese speakeasy. This bar brought something new to the bar culture of Portugal in 2015; today it's renowned for creative cocktails to satisfy even the most curious aficionado.

From aperitifs like a Dirty Negroni (with added ruby port, brine and sous vide celery) to twists on classics like the Aviation and Tommy's Margarita, and even weird and beautiful originals like Broken Bones (featuring Iberian pork fat, shitake, amaro and black grapefruit) and an Umami Sazerac.

There's also Iberian ham for snacking, with olives, and a caviar and Dom Perignon menu item. With dimly lit elegance, plush lounges and vintage decorative features, a swish spot like this has rules and a dress code, but it's not uptight. Expect swing, jazz and lively good times.
