Palácio Príncipe Real
A 19th-century pink palace turned luxury hotel with lush gardens and a heated infinity pool.
Overview
In the verdant surrounds of one of Lisbon's trendiest suburbs, Palácio Príncipe Real offers the opportunity to slow down in luxury and seclusion. Built in 1877, this old family home has been converted to a boutique hotel oasis in the city. Think gilt mirrors, velvet, high ceilings with exquisite moulding, dramatic staircases, Moorish influences, and splashes of colour in the furnishings and freestanding bathtubs.
All this plus a heated infinity swimming pool. Book in at the Paz wellness area for massages, facial treatments and aromatherapy. The food at the on-site restaurant is seasonal and predominantly plant-based, sourced from local artisans – including freshly ground coffee. For a tipple, there's Mick's Bar, a stylish spot to relax, with chequered floor, bold red furnishings and a well-stocked back bar.
