Overview

As the name suggests, with the Miradouro de Santa Luzia, it's all about the views. From here on the terrace beside the Church of Santa Luzia, you can look down and spot landmarks like the National Pantheon, the churches of Santo Estêvão and São Miguel, the streets and rooftops of Alfama, and the glittering Tagus River.

The terrace has a peaceful garden with a fountain and a reflecting pool. Azulejo-tiled benches are dotted throughout and a grapevine-entwined pergola runs along one side. It's a gorgeous place to linger a while, for photo ops or just the serenity, you can only find above the hustle and bustle of the city. Need refreshments, but don't want to leave that stunning view behind? Stop in at the cafe on the upper terrace.
