A night out in the city, if planned properly, can be a joy. Picking multiple stops to wine and dine, followed by an after-dark activity — and maybe even a night away from home — will do the trick. Cap it off with a winning breakfast the next morning, and you're sorted. So, it's with great pleasure that we offer you a great night out, with your bookings, theatre tickets and dinner bill taken care of.
Here are the deets: in celebration of & Juliet taking over the Regent Theatre, we're giving one of you (and your lucky plus-one) a spectacular night out in Melbourne. The rollicking high-energy stage show is powered by a fantastic Aussie cast and iconic pop songs from the last couple of decades. The premise of the show hypothesises what could've been for the star-crossed Juliet if she didn't meet her fate shortly after Romeo met his. But this is no Shakespearean tragedy — it's feel-good, exciting and will have you singing in your seats.
We're making sure you make a night of it, too. As well as two tickets to the show (on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between Tuesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 27), you'll score a $200 voucher for pre-show drinks at the deliciously refined Flinders Lane spot Hazel (pictured above), a $300 voucher for the neon-lit Yakimono and an overnight stay at The Adelphi. Once you're awake, head to Higher Ground (with your $150 voucher in hand) for a morning-after meal. Will it be an avocado pretzel, topped with whipped ricotta and a poached egg? Or the famous blueberry and ricotta hotcake? Either way, we recommend covering all your bases with both a coffee and a Bloody Mary.
It's a truly stellar prize, and all you have to do is tell us what brings you joy — simple. The hard part? Choosing your date for the evening. Entries close Friday, June 30 at 9am, so don't dilly-dally.
