Overview

As Melbourne's oldest independent brewery, Thornbury's 3 Ravens is a true classic — and its onsite bar has long been a drinking destination of choice for local beer fiends. Over the years, this backstreet gem has seen its fair share of changes, though pop in now and you'll discover a comfy revamped industrial space sporting a healthy dose of reclaimed timber, a pool table, and an impressive collection of beer cans and coasters lining the ceiling. A more recent addition is the colourful pop-up beer garden out front, with outdoor seating, grassy picnic spots and a regular weekend DJ lineup.

The ten-tap bar pours a rotation of core brews, seasonal beers and other fun creations, including 3 Ravens favourites like the Juicy IPA, Acid sour and tropical pale ale. You'll also find a range of signature cocktails and craft spirits, while Friday's weekly happy hour (3–6pm) sees pints of beer going for an easy $9.

There's no kitchen as such, but food trucks make an appearance most weekends. And if you find yourself peckish on a Friday night, they'll let you BYO or order in food from somewhere local. 3 Ravens loves an event, too, so stay tuned to the calendar for happenings like trivia nights, beer launches, tastings, festivals and parties.
