Overview

Globe Alley has made itself at home in Belleville's old upstairs Chinatown warehouse digs, and it's slinging an offering of live tunes and hefty burgers. If you were a fan on Belleville's late-night burger and fried chicken offering, you will most certainly approve of this.

From the same minds behind The B.East, it's an inclusive dive bar with a rock 'n' roll edge, with lots free live musical acts throughout the week, good times till late and a solid spread of vegan eats across its menu.

Fans of Globe Alley's Brunswick East sibling won't be surprised that burgers also reign supreme here, with towering creations ranging from the De-Lux ($24) — loaded with organic short rib, fontina cheese and shaved black truffle — to a vegan barbecue brisket and pickled jalapeno number ($14.50). A slew of crafty sides includes treats like Dorito-Pie nachos (served in a chip packet, no less) and pancetta and triple-cheese jalapeno poppers, while wings are $1 every day. The cocktail lineup hints at more fun, starring names like Kickstart My Heart and Black Sabbath ($19–20).

To match, the music program flits between 70s Aussie rock, 80s New York punk, and 90s hip hop, with live acts four nights a week. The likes of Parliament Funkadelic, Mesa Cosa and LA's The Garden have already graced the stage here, with plenty more shows being announced on a weekly basis.
