EIGHT MELBOURNE BARS NOW DELIVERING COCKTAILS AND WINE STRAIGHT TO YOUR DOORSTEP

Support your local and order whisky-filled juice bags, magnums of vino and quarantinis to enjoy on your couch.

The world is changing quickly and so is Melbourne's hospitality scene. While pubs, restaurants and cafes have been forced to stop in-house service, a lot of them are making the switch to takeaway and home delivery — and not just for food.

Whether you're after bottles of vino, tinnies, juice bags filled with whisky or freshly shaken cocktails, a number of Melbourne bars — and we're sure there'll be more — are ensuring you don't go thirsty while social distancing. Better yet, by ordering from these guys, you'll be supporting small, local businesses. So, if it looks like you need to restock your liquor cabinet, here are eight of the best boozy delivery deals around town.

If you choose to pick up these drinks rather than have them delivered, have a look at the latest COVID-19 advice and social-distancing guidelines from the Department of Health.

Heartbreaker may have turned off its neon sign for now, but to keep the party going it’s teamed up with Connie’s Pizza to offer free delivery of beer, bottled cocktails and pizza. There are two at-home drink hampers to choose from: the Heartbreaker House Party ($65), which includes four craft beers and two bottled cocktails; and the Heartbreaker All-American ($50), where you’ll get a Miller High Life, an American or Canadian craft brew and 40 fluid ounces (more than a jug) of both Colt and Mickey’s beer. And you may as well get an American-style pie while you’re at it. Deliveries are available every night from 5–11pm.

A mainstay in Melbourne’s small bar scene, Bar Americano knows how to shake up a mean drink. Usually, you’d nab a spot at the ten-seat bar, but these are not usual times. Instead, while its doors are shut, Bar Americano is offering free delivery within the CBD on a range of bottled cocktails. Otherwise it’s a $6 delivery fee for inner city suburbs. On the menu you’ll find an americano, a manhattan-inspired concoction, the bar’s house amaro, an old fashioned and a negroni — a go-to in these times. All come in either 200 or 500 millilitres. You can check out the menu here.
