Rustica Sourdough

Overview

Rustica Sourdough has been rolling since 2012, and today it's a Melbourne institution. Its flagship South Yarra location gives guests a front-row seat to the action, with an open, light-filled space where you can watch the bakers and pastry chefs at work.

The menu was developed by head chef and long-running team member Sidney Tor, and features a lobster and prawn eggs benedict, a chilli scramble, apple and rhubarb French toast, and a prawn and bay bug linguine.

As for the pastries, expect to see all the goodies Rustica is known for holding court in the cabinet, including almond and chocolate croissants, morning buns, maple crullers and other sweet treats. Because no pastry is complete without a good brew to accompany it, the team are serving up their signature coffee blend First Love Coffee, a roast that's become synonymous with Rustica cafes city-wide.
