Overview

Oh, 2003. It was the year when the American government served up 'Freedom Fries', when Apple launched a little music webstore called 'iTunes' and when a bunch of nerds spent 10 days building a website by the name of 'MySpace'. It also marked the arrival of a Sydney band now known as Dappled Cities — art rockers beloved for belting out lo-fi indie tunes with an off-pop bent.

Their stage presence garnered acclaim from critics and screams from fans, quickly leading to slots at SXSW and tours across the US and UK. They continued to cultivate their live theatrics, supporting the likes of Death Cab for Cutie and blowing minds with orchestrated baroque remixes. Now, after a decade on the road, the hardworking lads are ready to celebrate their aluminium anniversary by taking their tunes back to the sweaty underground club scene where it all began this Saturday night.

Fans will be able to request songs via the band's Facebook page prior to the show and rumour has it that the boys will also be testing new songs from their unnamed fifth studio album, out later this year. Hallelujah.
