Negroni Month, Melbourne 2026

Overview

Negroni Week is getting a longer run in Australia this year, with Negroni Month bringing a full September of cocktails, special menus and venue activations to bars and restaurants across Melbourne. The month-long program will bring together hospitality venues across South Yarra and Fitzroy to celebrate a cocktail that's become a fixture of Italian aperitivo culture.

A classic negroni is made with equal parts Campari, gin and sweet vermouth. For Negroni Month, venues will be offering different takes on the recipe, including versions made with local ingredients, barrel-aged serves and coffee.

The September program also puts Melbourne's bartenders and hospitality venues at the centre of the celebrations. Here's where to find the participating spots.

South Yarra

South Yarra has four venues in the Negroni Month lineup, spanning rooftop drinks, cocktails and wine. The Beverly sits on Level 24 of Goldfields House, with panoramic views across Melbourne, while Nobody's Baby brings a more intimate bar setting with vinyl spinning alongside its cocktail list.

Further along Toorak Road, Republic Economica is a mid-century-inspired venue known for pasta, pizza and negronis, while Gracie's Wine Room has a leafy courtyard, timber bar and a menu of focaccia and other shareable dishes. All four will be part of Negroni Month throughout September.

Fitzroy

Fitzroy's Negroni Month lineup includes Punters Club, Moon Drop, Black Pearl, Juliet, Gradi Crown and The European. At Punters Club, the lineup includes a boulevardier, which uses whiskey in place of gin, as well as the venue's House Negroni.

Over at Juliet, three Negroni twists take the drink in different directions. The Negroni Locale combines Campari with Brogans' 'Everyday Salvation' gin and Maidenii sweet vermouth, while the Plumdog Millionaire uses Campari, Davidson Plum Aperitivo and Never Never Ginache.

The Herbalist goes in a more savoury direction with Campari, Braulio and rosemary-infused gin. For another take, Gradi Crown will be serving a six-month barrel-aged negroni alongside a coffee negroni.
