We've Got a Great Dill For You: Pickle Purveyor ACIDE Teams Up With Billy Van Creamy To Bring You Wacky Flavours, Including a Dill Pickle Sorbet
Challenge your taste buds with an unexpected dill pickle sorbet or a pickled plum crumble ice cream.
Here's an unexpected collab to spice up your week. One of Melbourne's favourite ice cream stores, Billy Van Creamy, has teamed up with pickle purveyor ACIDE, to release two out-of-the-ordinary, limited-edition flavours.
Billy Van Creamy has been churning some of the best ice cream in Melbourne since 2014, with a focus on whole food ingredients and a dedication to making everything from scratch. BVC isn't in the business of taking shortcuts either: the team pits their own fruit, picks their own herbs, bakes their own biscuits, and makes their own jams. They are also particularly popular for their excellent range of vegan flavours.

The team at BVC has now teamed up with ACIDE, a brand that specialises in acid-forward food, spanning everything from pickles to lacto-ferments, hot sauces to mustards, and kimchi to spice blends. Sharing a love for ultra-high-quality, seasonal produce brought the two brands together to create unique flavours that highlight the savouriness of ACIDE's pickles.
Challenge your tastebuds with an unexpected dill pickle sorbet that pairs fresh cucumbers with lemon juice to create a punchy yet balanced blend, finished with a pickle spear. Or sample the pickled plum crumble ice cream that pairs pickled plums with a homemade brown butter crumble, for a sweet, tart, and intense experience.

The limited-edition flavours are available at the Billy Van Creamery stores at 142 Bridport Street, Albert Park, 146 Sydney Road, Brunswick, and 212 St Georges Road, Fitzroy North, from May 29.
