The official ‘First Lady of Neo-Soul’ will grace stage at the Civic Theatre next April.
Erika Badu’s unique approach to soul has seen her dominate the charts throughout her 16-year career, winning multiple Grammys including Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Album. As well as collaborating with a plethora of music’s finest, Badu is a core member of the Soulquarians, a collective made up of soul and hip hop musicians Common, D'Angelo, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Q-Tip, Questlove and more. Her latest album, New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and ‘Rolling Stone’ named it one of the year’s best albums for 2010.
