Penguin Plays Rough: Aqua Penguin
PPR's stories settle pool side.
Overview
Recent history has taught us that nothing comes more naturally to penguins than dancing, cinematography and making obscene signals for satellite imagery. But one thing puts a penguin in its element even more that getting mummified in the McMurdo Dry Valleys: water. Penguin Plays Rough’s story sharing shenanigans have swum from a King Street lounge room to a moody St Peters’ warehouse and even the shoreside MCA. For their next engagement, they’re bringing it back to seafaring basics at the Eastern Suburbs’ Redleaf Pool with Aqua Penguin. Floaties welcome.
Headlining this low-lying literary odyssey are globe-trotting, temporary Englishman Nick Sun, Brisbaner Jack Vening, Bridget Lutherbrow, Annalise Constable and, as usual, possibly you.
Update: Aqua Penguin has just changed venues to Clovelly Beach, with a wet weather plan also in place. Check for updates via their Facebook page. Image by Andrew Cheal.
