Acler Brings Occasion Dresses to Its First Standalone Boutique at The Strand
RSVP-worthy party dresses on the racks, private styling suites in the back.
For the past decade, Acler has been dressing people for engagement parties, galas and anything else that calls for a proper going-out dress. Now, the Adelaide-born label has landed its biggest store to date in Sydney.
Tucked into the upper level of The Strand, Acler Residency will house the brand's full collection under one roof, plus a run of appointment-only styling services.
The arcade's long history of housing jewellers, tailors and other craftsmen makes it a natural fit for garments designed over a year, with three-dimensional draping and other couture techniques – it's what the founders call a "rebellion away from digital design".
"The Acler Residency is a space that finally feels like it holds everything we've been creating for our community," co-founder Kathryn Forth says. Expect party dresses with a contemporary edge, from sculptural frocks to pleated organza drapes.
An in-house bridal suite comes with preselected pieces and refreshments laid out before the bride and her party arrive. Plus, another suite dedicated to style consultations for other milestone occasions. Long-time Acler shoppers who are out of town can instead hop on a video appointment at the Virtual Styling Suite.
The Acler Residency is open now at Level 2, Strand Arcade, Sydney.
