Qudos Bank Arena Is Now Afterpay Arena: Everything You Need to Know Before Your Next Show
One of Sydney’s biggest venues has got a makeover with a new name and a five-year partnership, but what does it mean for your next gig?

In case you missed it, Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena has officially entered a brand new era, changing its name to Afterpay Arena. The venue, which has hosted massive local and international musical performances including Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa, rebranded as part of a five-year sponsorship with the leading buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) platform.
The first of its kind, everything has been built around keeping fans in the moment — from the way they buy their ticket through to every food, beverage and merch purchase throughout the venue. Every transaction is as fast as possible so fans can spend more time where they came to be, not waiting in line.
The name change officially took effect on July 23 when the Afterpay Arena sign was revealed. So will this impact upcoming shows and, more importantly, what does this mean for your next night out? Here's what we know.
Booking Tickets
If you've already booked tickets to a show at Afterpay Arena, your event will go ahead exactly as planned; same venue, same location, same experience. If you're holding a digital ticket, it'll automatically update from July 23 to show the new Afterpay Arena name. Got an old-school printed ticket with Qudos Bank Arena on it? That's still good to go too. It remains fully valid for entry, so you won't need to swap it for a new one. To help everyone get used to the change, you might see the venue referred to as "Afterpay Arena, formerly known as Qudos Bank Arena" for the next 12 months. If you haven't bought a ticket yet, you can now do so with Afterpay, splitting your purchase across four interest-free instalments, so you don't have to miss out on the events you love.
At the Venue
While the Olympic Park venue has been cashless for years, Afterpay will now be accepted throughout the building, meaning you can use the payment platform for your food, beverage and merch needs. The building itself will stay the same, but with an Afterpay makeover. The newly launched two-storey bar and lounge, coined 'The Quarter ', is open for everyone to relax in before the shows.
There's a massive lineup scheduled for the second half of the year, including the likes of Olivia Dean, Zara Larsson and Alex Warren. No matter what your music style, you'll have plenty of chances to check out the newly minted space.
