Unleash Your Inner Dog at this Newtown 'Dog House' Pop-Up
This Sydney pub is taking pet-friendly a step further with themed cocktails and activities designed for your four-legged friends
In partnership with
To celebrate the launch of Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey's newest flavour, Peanut Butter & Jelly, the Newtown Hotel will become a dog house from August 13–30 — offering specialty cocktails, dog-friendly dining options and interactive activities to entertain both pet and owner alike. Timed to coincide with International Dog Month, this pop-up is creating the perfect space for you and your furry friends to enjoy a night on the town.

What's on the Menu?
The themed menu will highlight Sheep Dog's Peanut Butter & Jelly Whisky, with each drink featuring the spirit. Cocktails include The Good Boy, a take on a white russian featuring PB&J whiskey, oat milk, and vanilla, the That a Girl Wooftini, a PB&J espresso martini, and the Woofagato: ice cream topped with PB&J whiskey.

What Are the Activities?
The 18-day event will include several rotating events, as well as a couple of mainstays. A bark booth will be on-site throughout the pop-up so you can take a pic with your pup, as well as a treat dispenser for guests to challenge themselves and win prizes. Not to mention, a daily 5–7 pm happy hour — or 'yappy' hour — for the over-18s to enjoy.
Tuesdays will see the yappy hour extended all night for over-18 students and RSA holders, while on Wednesdays dogs will eat for free with the purchase of any main meal. On Thursday, August 20 and Thursday, August 27, the venue will change from a pub to a puppy salon, with Dogue offering everything from complimentary nail painting to fur painting.
Visit The Dog House at The Newtown Hotel from August 13 or make your own Wooftini at home with the Sheep Dog Peanut Butter & Jelly Whiskey.
