Not only is the delicious retail outlet Salt Meats Cheese providing us foodies with a one-stop shop to get gourmet items at wholesale prices, but now they're playing host to a range of intimate Italian cooking classes. Presented by fervent southern Italians Emanuela Gant and Sarah Krol, the team behind Manu & Sarah's Kitchen, the classes impart the traditional secrets behind creating the perfect dough and how to master the art of pasta.

The 90-minute classes are very relaxed and held in the Alexandria warehouse around a communal table, with beautiful slabs of marble for kneading fresh pasta dough. As Sarah and Emanuela talk you through the easy steps, you can sample the house-cured meats and delicious cheeses from the galeria de jamon.

Owners Stefano de Blasi and Eduordo Perlo are incredibly passionate about sharing the joy of wonderful Italian food and traditions and very excited about extending this love to the public. "Food is one of life's simple pleasures and I can't wait to share what we love," Stefano says. The fun doesn't stop there either; with a VIP status at the shop, you're then entitled to 10 percent off all products.

With kids cooking classes running through the holidays and corporate team-building sessions also available, it's time to dust off that pasta machine you got for Christmas two years ago and head to Salt Meats Cheese to get your white apron on.
