The world's largest book is bigger than most humans but comes from one of the smallest countries. Have a lazy $15k?

A tiny country now boasts the biggest book. Bhutan: A Visual Odyssey Across the Last Himalayan Kingdom is a visual feast of images of the scenic mountains.

The gigantic book weighs over 60 kilograms and is 170cm tall. Each image is nearly 2 gigabytes in size, requires a gallon of ink and takes 24 hours to print. And the book is comprised of a paper roll that would measure over the length of a football field.

Behind the size is the idea that it will enable readers to experience the majesty of the mountains first hand. Of course, that's if you have a cool $15,000 to purchase a copy on demand. All proceeds go to a worthy cause - the book (of which there are only 500) can be purchased by donating the money to Friendly Planet, an educational nonprofit charity organisation. There are also smaller editions for approx $100.
