The Best Boozy Brunches in Brisbane
Start your day with eggs Benno, baked goods and Bloody Marys.
It is no secret that Brisbane loves breakfast, and it is definitely no secret that Brisbane loves booze. So it is mighty lucky that you can eat, drink and be merry well before noon at an overwhelming number of Brisbane's favourite breakfast destinations.
Whether you're chasing the hair of the dog or simply love a mid-morning mimosa, revel in the beauty of the boozy brunch this weekend. Remember, it's 5 o'clock somewhere (we think).

Harveys are a Brisbane breakfast institution, and its no surprise that they are willing to indulge us in the art of boozing at brunch at the James Street address. You can definitely justify a day-starting drink with libations like the spiked Louisiana Sweet Tea and the Semifreddo Bellini on the menu.

Just when you thought Mondo Organics was already enough of a hit on the Brisbane breakfast scene, you turn the page and read the ‘Adults Only’ section of the drinks menu and realise they serve a raspberry and rose vodka slushie after 10am. What better way to start the day when it’s 30 degrees in the early morn’. Can we get an Amen?

Kettle and Tin have concocted three varieties of Bloody Mary to cure your ails. The Goddamn Mary might best be described as a hotdog in a glass. Smoked vodka, tomato and mustard are swirled together and served with a picklehead pickle. Alternatively, get a taste of bacon in your beverage alongside your bacon waffles as the Swine Mary stars prosciutto-infused Stolichnaya. If tomato juice ain’t your thing, never fear, you can always order a cold brewed T2 tea with a shot of rum, vodka or gin.

Don’t think you have to sacrifice your coffee cravings for a little morning booze, because the breakfast bar at A&C whip up a grand ol’ espresso martini. Fill your belly with some hearty fare and start your day with a cocktail in the Vanguard Beer Garden. Let the good times roll all day and you might even get lei’d later on (in the Tiki Bar. What were you thinking?).

This place was built for boozy brunching. Seriously, it’s in the name. From 9.30am on weekends you can order alcoholic beverages alongside your bacon and eggs. The best part about Chester Street is that you’re not restricted to traditional brunchtime booze; you can choose to spike any juice or smoothie on the menu with your choice of poison. Now that we think about it, that fresh-pressed watermelon, apple, ginger and mint juice would work a treat with a shot of vodka.
