On Thursdays throughout May, the venues’s bar Juanita’s will transform into Juanita’s Cantina, to serve $12 tostadas from 4-9pm. You can choose between the yellowfin tuna tostada with edamame, salsa macha and avocado; the ora king salmon with chipotle, tomatillo and salsa mexicana; or the sweet potato ceviche with beetroot and coconut crema. You can stop by for a quick afternoon snack and watch the sun sink behind the CBD. Or, if you find you have more cash to splash, stay all night and wash down the tostadas with Mexican beers and agave cocktails.

Head Chef Angus Harrison has put a modern Australian twist on Mexican dishes that champion local produce for the menu. You’ll start with a classic margarita and a prawn aguachile with cucumber, coriander, desert lime and avocado. Then, choose between the ironbark-grilled chicken with spring onion, guajillo and mulato salsa or the woodfired broccolini with pea mole, Patron blanco and lime vinaigrette. A trio of exceptional sweet potato treats in the form of a tart, meringue and ice cream will round out the experience.

From Wednesday to Friday of each week in May, the beach-adjacent restaurant will explore a different region of Italy via a dinner series hosted by Head Chef Stefano Gagliardi. On Tuesday, May 24, the Kirribilli restaurant will team up with Discovered Wildfoods to share a dining experience called Into the Wild which showcases the finest Australian game meat. The $120 menu includes wild-caught fish with local seaweed and cranberry hibiscus, wild boar and kangaroo island egg pappardelle, and a deer venison wellington with pine mushroom duxelles and venison jus truffles.
