Established in 2002 on Flinders Lane, ARC ONE Gallery has built its reputation on the long-term representation of prominent Australian contemporary artists working across painting, sculpture, photography, video and electronic media, rather than chasing a rotating cast of names. The focus has stayed on established and mid-career artists, while still leaving room to back emerging practices. The gallery operates in the heart of Melbourne's arts precinct, with a rotating program of solo and group shows. Over more than two decades, ARC ONE has built close, collaborative relationships with museums, curators and consultants across Australia, Asia, the US and Europe, and its artists are regularly honoured with survey exhibitions and career retrospectives in national and state institutions. Several — including John Davis, Robert Owen and Imants Tillers — have represented Australia at the Venice Biennale. The current roster spans Pat Brassington, Julie Rrap, Guan Wei and John Young through to Janet Laurence, Robert Owen, Imants Tillers and Anne Zahalka, alongside Jacky Redgate, Nike Savvas and Dani Marti.
