Overview
Local Mbassy is a quaint cafe opposite Wentworth Park. It's the perfect spot for a decadent breakfast and quiet brew. The red velvet pancakes and waffles are notable fan favourites, but if you want to kick-off the day on a real sugar high, the Nutella Nest (brioche, strawberry and Persian fairy floss) is the way to go.
The decor, a nod to 1920s Australiana, is a bit of an industrial mish-mash with the overall effect almost working. Discordant interior design aside, the staff are all very sweet and genuinely helpful. The beans here are Campos and, for the non-coffee drinkers that walk amongst us, there is a selection of specialty lattes including red velvet, matcha, taro and green.
