Peter's Sydney Fish Market

An institution since 1944, Peter's drawcard is watching scallops and king crab dishes flame-seared right in front of you.

Overview

Peter's has held a spot at Sydney Fish Market since 1944, and now sits on the water's edge at Blackwattle Bay as part of the market's redeveloped waterfront. With over 100 species of seafood moving through daily, it's built its name on the Aburi Bar, where scallops, lobster tail, octopus skewers and jumbo king crab legs are flame-seared to order, alongside a sushi and sashimi counter and a live seafood selection.

For those after a sit-down feed, the kitchen menu runs from scallop and lobster mornay to salt and pepper calamari, BBQ octopus and oyster Kilpatrick, plus a run of share platters, think a lobster platter for four, a fried seafood platter piled with soft shell crab, prawns and calamari, or a simpler grilled platter for two with king prawns and lemon-butter scallops.
