$3 Malaysian Curry Noodles at Ho Jiak Town Hall
Score a serve of hatted cuisine for just $3, thanks to this admired Malaysian restaurant's one-night-only special.
Overview
It's not every day that a Hatted restaurant serves up Malaysian street-style noodles from $3 a pop. Yet that's what's going down at Ho Jiak Town Hall, as renowned chef Junda Khoo whips up curry noodles three ways, plus a pair of sides, from 5pm on Thursday, May 22, to celebrate the launch of the new Maggi Kari noodles.
As Sydney's only Hatted Malaysian restaurant, trust Khoo to deliver bold, spicy, comforting cuisine that will satisfy even the most fanatic noodle-lover. While online bookings are now sold out, a few walk-in tables will be available on the night. Just be prepared to navigate hungry diners looking to score a cheap dish from one of the best in the business.
"Available for one night only, featuring a range of flavours from deliciously warm to sensationally spicy, we've created three bespoke recipes so there's a curry noodle meal for all noodle lovers. With traditional heat and fragrant spices, these Maggi Kari noodle recipes are a true celebration of Malaysia's obsession with big, exciting tastes," says Khoo.
Described as Khoo's personal playground, Ho Jiak Town Hall offers a deep dive into Penang-style cuisine, with the chef putting his own spin on everything from Assam laksa to Marmite beef ribs. Having received a host of culinary awards since launching in 2020, the restaurant's mouthwatering flavours won't likely ever be this cheap again.
