Overview

UPDATE: JULY 9, 2022 — Due to the extreme weather conditions across Sydney and beyond, the Christmas Winter Wonderland has been cancelled. For a full statement from the event organisers, visit the website.

It's officially sweater weather in the southern hemisphere, which means it's time to rug up, hide under blankets and guzzle mulled wine to stay warm. Thankfully, our pals at the Entertainment Quarter (EQ) are making getting out from under the doona a whole lot more enticing via its family-friendly midyear celebrations.

From Friday, July 8 till Sunday, July 17, you and your crew can explore the pop-up Christmas Winter Wonderland event happening at the EQ. Wander through fairy light-adorned laneways, shimmy under snowflakes at the nightly snowstorm or kick back with snacks and mugs of warming spiced wine at the on-site bar. There'll also be mini golf, ice skating and food trucks to check out while you're there.

Entry to the streets of the EQ is free, but you need to purchase tickets to access the Christmas Winter Wonderland Main Event (the Show Ring) where most of the action is taking place. Prices start from $10 for kids and $16 for adults, with $1 from every ticket purchase donated to Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation.

Keen to check it out? The Christmas Winter Wonderland will be open from 12–8pm Monday to Thursday and 12–10pm Friday to Sunday. For more information and to book tickets, visit the website.
