Overview

Say adios to a mild October; the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority are adding a little spice to the calendar with 2013's Fiesta. A free celebration of Latin American music, dance, food and culture, the festival is expecting more than 200,000 punters from Saturday, October 12, till Saturday, October 26.

Tumbalong Park will host Chile’s Quique Neira, Buenos Aires' Kevin Johansen and Brazil’s Sistema Criolina, while a Carnivale-style parade will cha-cha-cha their way along Darling Harbour on October 12 for one heck of an opening night that includes giant puppets, samba dancers, capoeira performers and batucada drummers.

Tumbalong Park, Harbourside Ampitheatre, Cockle Bay and the Village Green will see food stalls, craft stalls and learn-to-salsa classes also join the line-up.
