Overview

Not to be confused with the pioneering hip-hop DJ, Marlon Williams aka Marley Marl aka the “Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl” referenced by Notorious B.I.G. in his classic 1994 single ‘Juicy’, Kiwi troubadour Marlon Williams is embarking on an extensive national tour throughout November and December. The ambitious run of dates will take Williams all over our wide brown land, hitting most major cities as well as some slightly off the beaten track regional centres. The prolific singer-songwriter will be unleashing his unique brand of critically acclaimed alt-country alongside his band, The Yarra Benders.

Described by WOMADelaide as “the impossible lovechild of Elvis, Roy Orbison and Townes Van Zandt” and having recently starred in the ABC drama The Beautiful Lie, Williams’ star continues to rise rapidly. If you want to be able to say that you saw him before he became a household name, get tickets pronto.

You can also catch Marlon Williams playing in picturesque wineries across the nation as part of A Day on the Green.
