Taco & Tequila Fiesta at SoCal
It's an entire month of bottomless feasts and eating competitions, plus you could win tacos for a year.
Overview
For seven years in a row, SoCal's Taco & Tequila Fiesta has been bringing a month of parties to Double Bay to mark Cinco de Mayo, the annual festival that marks Mexico's defeat of France in 1862. And this year is no different.
The action will kick off on Saturday, May 3, with a huge launch party featuring a bottomless fiesta menu, live music, and margaritas galore. Head back on Thursday, May 15, for the chilli eating contest. Yep, this is exactly what it sounds like — a chance to show how much heat you can take.
If chilli isn't your thing, swing by on Thursday, May 22, instead for the taco eating competition. Over three heats, competitors will tuck into ten of SoCal's signature tacos — and whoever eats them fastest will take home a $200 SoCal voucher.
On top of that, every time you buy a bite or drink via the Applejack App between Saturday, May 3, and Saturday, May 31, you'll go in a draw to win a year's worth of tacos. Plus, there'll be specials all month long, including $4 tacos and $15 margaritas on Tuesdays, enchiladas and a margarita for $40 on Thursdays, and bottomless fajitas for $35 on Fridays.
