Overview

“You still have your fingers on the strings, even now.”

Although the third instalment of The Godfather was released in theatres over 25 years ago now, Michael Corleone’s words still resonate today. Literally.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will have their fingers on strings and all of the other instruments involved in the appropriate recreation of the cinematic score when Francis Ford Coppola’s Oscar-winning American crime masterpiece is screened at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. There will be three performances of the iconic soundtrack arrangements, originally written by Nino Rota.
