If you've been looking for an excuse to escape for a weekend, look no further than The Shoalhaven Gourmet Getaway. The Shoalhaven Food Network has done all the planning for you, with an epicurean long weekend tour that showcases some of the region's notable restaurants and venues.

The all-inclusive trip starts by rail from Sydney's Central Station on Friday, May 31, before you get whisked away for a weekend of tastings, long lunches and multi-course meals and return on Monday, June 3.

Program highlights include a four-course dinner at Ponte Bar and Dining, an Indigenous food and cultural tour led by acclaimed chef Doug Innes-Will in Bundanon, and a long lunch with paired wines at Cupitt's Estate. Between events, guests can expect visits to a wide variety of venues such as Farmgate Restaurant, Swordfish Brewing and even a mussels cruise in Huskisson.

With only 40 spots available, the event is sure to be an intimate experience. Bookings are now available through the Shoalhaven Food Network website, with prices ranging from $1400–$1700 (inclusive of accommodation, transport, activities and dining).
