Overview

Manly may be your go-to when the weather's warm and beach is where you want to be but, this winter, Manly Wine is bringing you a reason to visit the seaside suburb — its Vegan & Vines feast.

The bar has teamed up with South Australia's Delinquente Wine Co — a new small batch, single vineyard organic winery — to bring you a vegan spread, available for both lunch and dinner. The event started off as a one night a year thing but, due to its popularity, the menu is available every day across June and July. For $49, you'll be tucking into three courses, perfectly paired with a variety of vegan vinos ($11 per glass or $64 for a bottle).

The menu is designed to share. You'll warm up with a selection of starters, including beetroot and walnut hummus with whipped silken tofu, miso and sweetcorn chowder and fig and caramelised onion bread with macadamia ricotta. Then, for mains, you can expect a zucchini and heirloom carrot salad, spiced roasted cauliflower with mint skordalia and raisin salsa and forest mushroom with broad beans and salsa verde.

Come dessert time, choose from a dark chocolate and avocado mousse with caramelised orange and honeycomb and the aquafaba pavlova with silken tofu, strawberries and black salt. Yep, even your most meat-loving mates are likely to be swayed by this spread.

On the wine list, you'll find the 2018 Screaming Betty vermentino, 2018 Pretty Boy rosato and 2018 The Bullet Dodger montepulciano. Delinquente, based in Riverland, is all about small batches, hand-picked grapes and experimental varietals.

Vegan and Vines is available every day until July 31. To make a booking, head to the website.
