Best of Sydney 2015: Best New Pub
Renovating a pub is one thing, but creating a new local is an art.
Sydney's new (or renewed) pubs have a big hurdle to face — history. Renovating a pub is one thing, but creating a new local is an art. At Concrete Playground we encourage exploration and showcase innovation in our city every day (especially in our newest watering holes), so we are very pleased to announce our picks for Best New Pub in Concrete Playground's Best of Sydney 2015 Awards. These six outstanding pubs, opened in 2015, have been handpicked by CP for a combination of their originality, innovation, respect for the original building, and high quality menus and service — but this year, we couldn't go past the Hotel Palisade. Arguably the year's biggest pub reno, the impressive building in The Rocks has been brought back to life after years of dormancy, and it boasts one hell of a view. Nice work, guys — we love what you do.
