Overview

It's no secret that a lot of Aussies are doing it tough right now. Thanks to COVID-19, this year has dealt us a dud hand, leaving many struggling to pay their day-to-day bills. All-round queen Leasa Mann, alongside other generous Aussies, decided to help some of those in need by paying their bills via BPAY.

Why did the glamorous drag queen choose BPAY? Well, for the uninitiated, the bill payment method lets you take control of your finances easily, securely and flexibly. First up, you can pay for pretty much any bill through the one method — think your rent, electricity, health insurance and phone bills — from any of your bank accounts, whether it's savings, credit or cheque. With BPAY, you can make one-off payments, as well as set up recurring ones, too. Not to mention it's safe as houses, working within your online or mobile banking to make sure your details are as secure as the Aussie drag performer's wig.

So, for Leasa Mann, it made paying others' bills a cinch. Once BPAY heard about the queen's good deed, it decided to team up and help Aussies get better at paying their bills with BPAY.

To do so, the pair created a handy how-to video, starring the one and only Leasa Mann, naturally. And BPAY promised to donate $1 for every unique, completed video view to First Nations Foundation and its financial literacy training program My Money Dream*, up to a maximum of $30,000. Skyrocketing to that $30,000 in a matter of weeks, BPAY has now increased its donation cap to $40,000 — but it needs your help to get there. Whether you're an online banking novice or a BPAY whiz, the video is as hilarious as it is insightful, so get watching.

*For each unique, completed view of the 'Get Better at Bills with BPAY' Tutorial, BPAY will donate $1 to First Nations Foundation's My Money Dream initiative – an online training program designed to increase financial wellbeing for Indigenous Australians, up to a maximum of $40,000.
