Overview

If all this time at home has given you wanderlust, we don't blame you. We've been cooped up for too long and now is the time to start dreaming of your next getaway. While you can't chase the sun and clear blue waters in Europe this year, you can explore your own backyard: Australia. After all, two things we have a lot of is sunshine and expansive seas, so exploring our own country is not a bad substitute, plus there are a few great domestic deals you can score at the moment. Interstate travel might not be happening everywhere in Australia right now, but you can certainly start actively planning.

Want to go snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, explore the Daintree and hit up the sunny Whitsundays, including one of the world's most stunning stretches of sand, Airlie Beach? How about cruising down to Tassie for an epicurean getaway in Hobart or venturing all the way to the Top End? Or you could try quad-biking, parasailing and wild dolphin feeding at Tangalooma on Moreton Island. For any Aussie cruise adventure, check out Carnival Cruise Line, which offers a whole heap of local trips, ranging from four to ten days and setting sail from Sydney and Brisbane.
