Overview
If you've missed heading out and catching live theatre gigs this year, then it's time to gear up for a show-filled 2021. Helping you do so is Griffin Theatre Company with its A-plus upcoming season, curated for the first time by Griffin's newly appointed Artistic Director Declan Greene.
For the better part of four decades, Griffin Theatre Company has been dedicated to producing new — and often unconventional — Aussie plays from its home in the cosy, intimate and historic SBW Stables Theatre. Expect the trend to continue with its new program, featuring everything from a radically fresh coming-of-age tale to an al fresco performance in Darlinghurst's Green Park; a poetic, Australian gothic-style story set on Gunaikurnai land; and a live-streamed foray into Ted Nelson, Xanadu and teledildonics. All up, the season will see 13 brilliant, bold and rule-breaking productions take to the stage.
If any or all of these piqued your interest, Griffin Theatre has subscription packages already available, starting at just $74 if you're under 35. So, when Griffin Theatre's 2021 season kicks off next year, you'll have everything covered.
