Overview

When you're planning a boat party this summer, you can opt for a more eco-friendly adventure thanks to the arrival of a solar- and electric-powered catamaran called La Bella Verde.

'The beautiful green' in Spanish, La Bella Verde is a green boating company that started out sailing around the Balearic Islands in 2014. And this summer, you can hit the high seas of Sydney Harbour in a 12-person catamaran that generates zero emissions and runs almost silently. Silently, bar the tunes you want to hear, of course; La Bella Verde has a built-in sound system so that you can control the playlist via bluetooth as you cruise around.

The catamaran is available for hire from $200–250 per hour on a three-hour minimum hire basis. There's an additional fee of $100 to BYO booze and ice, as well as a Wharf Fee of $50. It'll also offer catering services, or you can choose to BYO food for a more DIY day on the water.

Concrete Playground readers can get a ten percent discount on La Bella Verde hires by mentioning 'Concrete Playground' at payment.
