A great museum needs a great gift shop, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) is no different. When you're browsing the MCA Store, you'll find everything from arty items by top Australian and international creatives to ideal gift ideas and exclusive wares that you can't pick up elsewhere.
Whether you're keen on adding some more art to your life, or you have a swathe of loved ones to think of this present-giving season, you'll want to keep up to date with the MCA Store's range. The best way? As well as scoping out the Museum's Instagram, you can sign up to its newsletter. And, if you need some extra motivation to do the latter, the shop has teamed up with the good folks at Good Citizens to give away a pair of sunglasses, plus a one-off clip kit and a cleaning cloth, to one lucky new subscriber (valued at $143).
Good Citizens doesn't just make ordinary sunnies; it upcycles single-use plastic bottles, turning them into eye-catching, sustainably made, designer eyewear (and saving those bottles from ending up in the ocean or landfill in the process).
As part of the competition terms and conditions, you'll need to subscribe before Friday, December 18 for your chance to win. Then, the new owner of a swanky pair of shades will be drawn on Monday, December 21 — just in time for Christmas. If you miss out this time, don't worry — you can pick up some Good Citizens sunnies at the MCA Store online or in-store.
